Design decisions

Contributor design records live in docs/decisions/README.md. That index classifies historical analysis, implemented designs and proposals; older checklists in those records are not a live task tracker.

Use Architecture for current implementation, Roadmap for delivery priorities, and Contributing for the issue-to-release workflow. Proposals only become current architecture after implementation and validation.
